The Flemingdon Park Ministry is a storefront mission situated in Don Mills in the Flemingdon Park Plaza across from the Ontario Science Centre. The neighbourhood consists of a multi-faith, multi-cultural population of 27,000 people who speak 90 different first languages and represent 130 ethnic groups. The ministry serves those who are poor and marginalized, including single mothers, those living in subsidized Metro housing units, and the longer-term unemployed on Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Support Programs.

Parishioners of St. George’s assist the Flemingdon Park Ministry in different ways:

• donating to FaithWorks, which supports Flemingdon Park as one of their vital community ministries
• contributing non-perishable food items to the Flemingdon Park food bank – collected in the church narthex and delivered to Flemingdon Park approximately once a week
• helping to serve a traditional Christmas dinner at the annual Flemingdon Park Christmas party
