Sunday School
What is Sunday School?
St. George's Sunday School is an inclusive Christian community that reflects the diversity of our
multicultural city. Sunday School is a vital part of sharing the faith with
our children.
St. George’s offers a children’s program every Sunday morning that creatively introduces biblical lessons to
children through story-telling, songs and musical instruments, crafts, activities, drama, videos – all creating
a FUN learning environment. Children are encouraged to relate the Christian story to their everyday experiences.
What are the ages of Sunday school goers?
We provide classes for children 3-4 years old, 5-7 years old, 7-9 years old, 10-11 years old, and 12+
years old. Once baptized into the Christian Faith, children regularly receive
the Holy Eucharist along with their parents and other parishioners. All receive
a blessing in the name of God.
Who teaches Church School?
The Church School is coordinated by Janet Kirk, the Children’s Ministry Coordinator. All teachers are parishioners of St. George’s
Anglican Church. Children are part of the Church Service.
